Ransomware: Why you should take updates seriously
Ransomware is exactly what it sounds like: a virus that infects your computer, encrypts your files, and asks for payment to restore your files; effectively holding your information for ransom. This particular virus held information captive for roughly $300, if those infected didn’t pay up in 3 days, then the price doubled. If they still did not receive payment after 7 days, then the encrypted files were permanently deleted.

Fake news is content that is false, made to look believable. Pretty self-explanatory honestly. This is not to be confused with parody, however, as fake news is created with the goal of spreading misinformation in a believable way, lacking that obvious comedic influence found in parody.
Net Neutrality: Why it matters
Net Neutrality is the concept that all data on the internet should be treated the same by both internet service providers (ISP) and governments. So this is saying that regardless of what apps, content, or websites you visit on the internet, you as a user should not be treated differently because of those factors through either throttled speeds or price hikes from your ISP.
